A Fist Full of Europe (and Comics and Games)

Three of the hosts of A Fist Full of Comics (and Games) Podcast–namely Peacekeeper, Tangent and Knight Ranger–are currently enjoying a 2-week European vacation (April 27 to May 13), going from Ireland, to England and then to Spain. You can check out the blog of the FFoCaG: The European Tour 2007, and share in the adventures of three American geeks in the Old World. Suffice to say that in the first two days they have suffered from missed transatlantic flights, delayed flights, and missing luggage, forcing Tangent to desperate measures (right).
I have also reminded the guys that they are now gamer travelers, and asked them to keep an eye out for interesting stuff from their travels that we can later talk about in a special interview show, to which they have all agreed. I look forward to sharing their trip (and boy, are they having an eventful trip so far!) and talking to them upon their return.
Episode 04 – Brussels, Belgium
In Episode 04 of The Gamer Traveler we visit Brussels, the capital city of Belgium. This is a very international city with a long history stretching back to early medieval days, and a distinguished pedigree to this day, still serving as home to one of the branches of the European Union. As a city of merchants and guilds, we use Brussels as a starting point to discuss running games with merchant player characters or gaming in mercantile-driven campaigns.

Special Episode 01 – Cancellation of Dragon & Dungeon Magazines
Show Notes for Special Episode 01 of The Gamer Traveler:
Note: This special episode is completely dedicated to a gaming topic and has nothing to do with travel. If you are one of my non-gamer subscribers/listeners you can safely skip this episode and not miss anything. The next regular episode of The Gamer Traveler will be out in the next 2-3 days.
On April 19, 07 the press release came out that Wizards of the Coast had decided not to renew Paizo Publishing’s license to produce DRAGON and DUNGEON Magazines, two staples of the gaming industry for the last three decades. The announcement has come as a surprise to gamers everywhere, most of whom have fond memories of these magazines as they relate to their gaming lives.
In this special episode, I talk about my thoughts on the announcement, fond memories revolving around these magazines, and talk a little about what may come as a result of these changes, indulging in a little bit of Gaming Industry punditry.

(Note: Originally, Inside Track #18 was an interview with Phil Lacefield Jr. and it was released the day after the press releases hit the streets. Apparently there was an issue with something said during the interview that prompted the episode to be taken down and later be replaced with the current episode with Joshua Frost.)
