About

The Gamer Traveler is a show that combines my love for gaming and travel. In each episode, we’ll look at a site around the world, give a travel show-style overview of the location, including history, ways to get there and stuff to see and do, and then talk about ways to include the location or elements of it in your adventure games. In addition we will have special episodes featuring “live” segments recorded on-location as well as soundseeing tours, plus interviews with other gamer travelers.

About the Host

Daniel M. Perez is a lifelong gamer who apparently did not have enough projects on his plate and decided to make this podcast. He is also an avid traveler, and can never travel as much as he’d like. He is the owner of Highmoon Media Productions, a multi-media studio that, apart from producing this podcast, also publishes roleplaying game supplements. You can check out his personal site at www.dmperez.com.

Colophon

The Gamer Traveler is recorded and edited on Audacity on a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook. The show is recorded using a Radio Shack Black Chromatic Plated Super-Cardioid Dynamic Microphone running to a Radio Shack 4-Channel Stereo Microphone Mixer plugged straight into the computer. Remote recordings are done on an Olympus WS-300M digital voice recorder. The podcast is hosted at Libsyn.com. The website is powered by Wordpress and Podpress (latest versions) and the RSS feed is published via Feed Burner.

Season 1 theme music is Ragasutra from the album “All Strings Considered” by Jamie Janover and Michael Masley, and is provided courtesy of Magnatune.
