In The Gamer Traveler – Episode 11 I sit down with my friend of a lifetime, Braulio Rivera, to talk about his visit to Kobe, Japan to play in a Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour tournament. We chat about visiting a country and a culture so different from our western one, wandering Kobe at night, the “little” differences one notices, and being saved from going where one perhaps should better not (a funny story).

I also took the opportunity to update listeners on the changes to The Gamer Traveler, since this is the first episode since the transition.
This episode was recorded in Puerto Rico, so you’ll hear lots of coquis in the background!

Nothing beats Japan. A truly unique experience that everyone should have. There are times I miss it terribly…except for the $50.00 watermelons.

$50 for a watermelon! Geez! One hopes they were THAT good.
Who knows. I never had enough money to buy one.
